Vision, Mission, PEO, PO’s & PSO of Department

To impart quality education among students by enhancing their learning aptitude and gearing up them with intellectual, physical, analytical & practical capabilities.

  1. To provide high quality broad-based education and experience based learning in engineering.
  2. To impart state of the art engineering education through strong theoretical foundations and practical training to students in their choice of specialization.
  3. To imbibe in the students, basic human values in order to help them, develop individually.
  4. To provide education at reasonable expenditure, especially for middle class population.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’s):

PEO1 – Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to Mechanical engineering related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.

PEO2 – Adapt state-of-the-art Mechanical engineering broad-based technologies to work in multidisciplinary work environments.

PEO3 – Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

Program Outcomes (PO’s):

PO1 – Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2 – Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3 –  Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO4 – Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5 – Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6 – Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PO7 – Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO’s):

PSO1 – Modern Software Usage: Use latest mechanical related software for simple design, drafting manufacturing, maintenance and documentation of mechanical components and processes.

PSO2 – Maintenance And Selection Of Machines, Equipment, And Instruments: Maintain and select appropriate machine, equipment and instrument in field of mechanical engineering.

PSO3 – Manage Mechanical Processes: Manage the mechanical process by selection and scheduling right type of machinery, equipment, substrates, quality control techniques, operational parameter and software for a mechanical process or job for economy of operations.
